From September 2014 every Local Authority is required to publish information about the services they expect to be available for children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) and/or disabilities. This will be known as the 'Local Offer'. The Local Offer website will put all the information about education, health and care services, leisure activities and support groups in one place making it easier for families to access and use a vast range of information and resources. Schools are required to contribute to the Local Offer to communicate the support and services offered to children, young people and families in their local area.

 Sport funding

The Physical Education (PE) Vision

Prime Minister David Cameron announced that the Government will commit funding for the Primary PE and Sport Premium until 2020. The investment builds on the £150m a year ring fenced funding currently committed for schools until 2016 to increase primary PE and sport opportunities. This is ring fenced funding - allocated directly to primary schools across England, and it became effective in September 2013. The primary purpose of this funding is to improve the quality and provision of PE within all primary schools which is integral to school development.

Ranvilles Junior School has been allocated £9070 of funding for the academic year of 2013-2014. For more information about how this funding has been spent, please click here

For further information regarding our extra-curricular activities please click on our clubs page here

Here at Ranvilles Juniors, we are so proud of all of our children. Many children participate in sports, activities and hobbies that sometimes take them beyond local levels of competition. Follow some of our children in our new Talents and Interests news area here, and if your child has some news to share then please let us know!
